Business Leadership

To become a LEADER, you must first become a BRIDGE -- Welsh Proverb

Numerous studies show that of the three greatest fears we commonly share, the top two are public speaking and dying - in that order.   This is a statistic that I share with my clients - that more people fear public speaking than fear death !!!

"The sky is the limit for great speakers -- they command a high degree of respect and prestige, and great speakers are always in demand.  The better you speak, the more people want to hear what you have to say -- about you, about your business, or about your profession!"

Over 95% of the business leaders who were surveyed admitted they felt inadequate with their leadership skills, especially when it dealt with speaking in front of large audiences or other corporate leaders.  They understood their fear of public speaking and their inability to speak at a professional level could keep them from climbing the corporate ladder and from the success they desperately wanted to obtain.  Here's the dilemma they face -- they do not know how to overcome their fear ... they were not taught how to become GREAT public speakers in school ... and they know that "volunteer" speaking clubs or speech organizations are not the answer.   In short, they have not learned how to become a Story-Teller.

"There is a significant difference between managers/supervisors and LEADERS.  You manage or supervise 'things' such as projects, budgets, or checkbooks, but you LEAD people through the use of persuasive communication skills." -- Matt Rix

Being able to create, write, and present "top notch" keynote speeches -- being able to stand in front of an audience -- knowing that you are prepared -- confident that your speech will be inspirational, motivational, as well as entertaining -- THIS is slaying the dragons of fear, doubt, and indecisiveness.

The same skills you will learn through becoming a better speaker and stage personality will also open other avenues of opportunity within your life.   Better communication skills make you a better listener -- and how can you expect people to listen to you if you don't know how to listen to them?  When you become a better listener, people will tend to gravitate to you, and to value what you have to say!  Not only will your business life become more successful, but this success will also spill over into your personal life as well.

Whether in competition, business, sports, or even politics, the skill set required to be a leader is the same.  You must learn to become a great STORY-TELLER -- a great COMMUNICATOR -- before you become recognized as a great leader!

And before you become a great leader, you MUST overcome your fears, your doubts, and most of all, your anxiety of public speaking.  Make platform presentations your ally ... NOT  your enemy!   Become one of the very few who have mastered the art of leadership through your knowledge and skills of public speaking. When you become more confident with yourself, it will SHOW !!!

If you want to become a better speaker ...
If you want to learn how to motivate others ...
If you want to become an UNFORGETTABLE leader ...
